Embroidered Shoes FAQ
-
Why am I asked to provide the shoes?
Quite simply so we know they fit perfectly!
I did consider offering to purchase the shoes for you like some other shoe artists do, but, then I had problems getting the right fit from a couple of big brands myself, and it scared me off. I would hate for anyone to spend all that money on shoes and and embroidery to find they didn’t fit and there is nothing we can do about it at that point. So to be on the safe side I ask you to source your shoes yourself.
That said if you know your fit with a brand or are able to try on in store before hand you are very welcome to save postage fees and have an online order sent directly to me!

What shoes best?
Honestly anything canvas and lace up I can embroider!
(No leather for embroidery - painting only on those!)
If the shoe you have in mind isn’t lace up please pop me a message with images, it may still be possible but there will be restrictions on the design. All of the designs in my shop can go on most shoes, there may be a few layout adjustments needed to work around variations in shoes for example seams or high glue areas like the heel I may need to avoid.
Looking for shoe recommendations?
Converse - All-stars are a classic
Hey Dude - do some awesome lace ups like the Karinas
Toms - my personal pair are Toms I believe mine are their style called Alex - but they were a second hand vinted purchase so I can’t be 100% sure, but that’s what they look like!
Or simply any of your high street stores - as long as they are lace up and canvas! -
High top or lows?
High tops vs. lows - you will see that most of the designs on my website are shown on lows, but they can be easily tweaked to work on high tops - or vice versa. If you would like to see a digital mock up of how the design would look before you purchase I’m more than happy to do that just get in touch!
Platform shoes - again these are totally doable but I just want to make you aware that they tend to have slightly shorter sides with the sole coming higher up the foot - this simply means I may have to shorten some long stems or make some flowers smaller so they work. -
How long does it take?
So….. this does change depending on how busy I am, and will be displayed on the product info page at time of purchase.
Dates are from receipt of your shoes.
