Owl Layered Paper Art

This black and white owl artwork has been created using 7 sheets of hand cut paper. From the black front layer back to the pearl white eyes each layer is created from a single sheet of art paper, made by parts cut away and layering them on top of each other to leave the design.
The owl is the most complex piece that I have created with some of the pieces cut from it being just slithers measuring barely 1mm square. Each of the layers can take up to a day each to complete.
The owl comes framed in a beautiful black and white frame that complements the piece perfectly.
The frame measures 43 cm by 33cm and is approximately 3cm deep and is suitable for wall hanging.
The owl was designed by a talented designer Andy Rothery and cut completely by hand by me.
